In pursuit of absolute perfection, Huyun, the founder of HONGDUI—a passionate woodworking enthusiast with background in precision engineering—struggled to find tools on the market that offered true micron-level accuracy. Driven by an obsession with absolute precision, he decided to engineer his own.
To bridge the gap between imagination and reality, he joined forces with master artisans of traditional fine woodworking, combining aerospace-grade CNC machining technology with age-old craftsmanship. Together, they brought every sketch and micron-precise dimension to life, redefining the standards of modern woodworking tools.

Rethinking Precision: The Genesis of HONGDUI
Woodworking perfection begins with the very first line. Yet, traditional marking tools often suffer from material flex and stamped scale inaccuracies, causing errors to compound at every step.
HONGDUI was born to challenge this compromise. By applying aerospace-grade CNC milling and high-precision laser etching to fine woodworking, we crafted a marking system built for micron-level accuracy. No tolerance stacking. No guesswork. Just absolute alignment from start to finish.
The 0.02 mm Cut: Elevating Miter Performance
In fine woodworking, a fraction of a millimeter at the miter gauge compounds into visible gaps in final frame joints. Traditional miter bars force makers to rely on guesswork when fine-tuning angles.
With the MG21 Miter Gauge, HONGDUI engineered a solution built on absolute control. Featuring a built-in micro-adjuster capable of 0.02 mm fine-tuning, the MG21 gives makers the power to calibrate angles with effortless micro-precision. Perfect alignment is no longer a matter of luck—it is guaranteed by design.
Mastering Depth Control: KM17 Pro Router Plane
True craftsmanship demands absolute feel and flawless precision. However, traditional hand router planes often lacked intuitive depth controls, making fine depth adjustments a slow process of trial and error.
To bring traditional hand tools into the modern high-precision era, HONGDUI joined forces with master craftsman Jonathan Katz-Moses. Guided by the principle of "designed by woodworkers, for woodworkers," we created the KM17 Pro Router Plane. Equipped with an integrated, easy-to-read depth adjustment scale, the KM17 Pro allows craftsmen to fine-tune cutter depth with absolute confidence. It is not just an tool upgrade—it is a tribute to the evolution of modern woodworking.
Empower the Ecosystem: The HONGDUI MFT Precision System
The 20mm MFT (Multifunction Table) system revolutionized modern woodworking, yet building and fully equipping a high-precision grid table remained a challenge for many makers.
To bridge this gap, HONGDUI partnered with Dennis from Hooked on Wood to build an all-encompassing MFT solution. Beyond the groundbreaking PC09 MFT Drill Guide, HONGDUI engineered an interconnected suite of precision bench dogs, stops, and clamping accessories. By bringing aerospace CNC tolerances to every component of the workbench ecosystem, HONGDUI empowers craftsmen to build, setup, and master perfectly aligned 90° work environments with absolute confidence.
