What are the green rubber rings on the post for?
Those are high-friction silicone O-rings. They serve two critical purposes: they ensure a snug, friction-fit inside your 20mm dog holes to prevent wobbling, and they protect the inside walls of your workbench holes from aluminum-to-wood wear and tear.
